These new trays are a labor of love for me. I decided that I wanted to learn how to screen print, so I jumped in- Head first! The design on this tray is from an original drawing of all of my flower designs that I use on a lot of my pottery pieces. I burned this image onto a silkscreen, printed the image and transferred in onto wet clay. The tray was then formed. I added a foot ring to the bottom of the tray. It was fired , glazed and then fired again. The results are gorgeous! It reminds me of newsprint or an old black and white illustration from a book!
